Christel Vandewaerde

1963 born in Bree on December 4th 1963
1982 -1984 secondary teacher training plastic arts in Sint Maria Instituut at Antwerpen
1985 -1987 training window-dresser
1988 Start self-employed activities: window-dresser, atmospheric stylist
- active as window-dresser and doing wallpaintings for hotel and catering industry and private persons.
- atmospheric decorations for displays, reception halls, trade and fashion shows
1990 Selfstudy in colour psychology and colour lighting arts.
1999 Birth of my own style Passiospheric Art

Passion: passionately driven to help people internalize by means of colour
Atmospheric: design an atmosphere in which the power of colour touches the heart of the spectators directly

My art is spiritual, emotional and heartwarming.
I let the spectator open his/her heart for feelings of compassion, love and togetherness
Via meditation I transform feelings into colour and shape.

My works are composed with my fingers and fingernails, without any use of brushes. I have to be able to feel the matter, so that the power can flow out directly through my fingers. Gold leaf in my work is a must! Gold gives access to my inner being and has a healing effect on the beholder.
